Become an Admissions Ambassador!

Admissions Ambassadors are students who share the Transylvania experience with prospective students, their families and other community members. All Admissions Ambassadors give tours, assist with daily office operations, and serve as student ambassadors at admissions events.

Compensation is $12 per hour. Students are expected to work in the office 6 hours per week and various weeknight/weekend events throughout the year.

Timeline:

Tuesday, November 12 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM: Nacho Average Student Leader Info Session in Campus Center 118
Wednesday, November 15: Application Opens
Tuesday, January 21: Application Closes at 11:59 p.m.
February 2025: Admissions Ambassador Interviews

There are three components in the application process.

1. Application, Resume & Essay

You will be asked to attach your resume (PDF) to the application as well as answers to two questions.

Read the Job Description and answer the following two essay questions:

Why are you interested in serving in this role?
What special skills and abilities do you possess that would make you an asset for the job you are applying for?

Responses should be no more than 250 words.

2. Recommendations from TWO Transylvania University individuals:

Staff/faculty member that has supervised or taught the applicant
Current/former Admissions Ambassador
- If you don't know a current/former Admissions Ambassador, please provide 2 recommendations from Staff/Faculty
  - Please send your references this recommendation form to complete on your behalf.

3. Participate in an interview process upon invitation.

The interview process will consist of an interview and a 5-minute presentation. Details will be provided upon selection.
